What is Cat's Claw?
Cat's claw is a wine that grows
in the Amazon rainforest and other tropical areas of Central
and South America. They are two different species of cat's
claw Uncaria tomentosai and Uncaria guianensis (useful for
treating osteoarthritis).

Benefits
Cat's claw is thought to have
anti-inflammatory effects and has been used for rheumatoid
arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Compounds in cat's claw are
thought to block the body's production of
inflammation-producing substances called prostaglandins and
tumor necrosis factor (TNF).
Cat's claw's immuno-stimulating properties enhance the
function of white blood cells to attack and digest
carcinogenic substances and harmful microorganisms that may
inhibit the growth of cancer cells and tumors.
Cat's claw
has a healing effect on the digestive system and good
results have been achieved in treating chronic fatigue
syndrome.
Side Effects
Side effects may include nausea, headache and dizziness.
Pregnant or nursing women or children should avoid cat's
