:: Mixed Skin Basics :: |
Combination
skin consists of two types of skin; the T-zone, the centre of
the face is rather oily, and the cheeks tend to be dry. For this
reason these areas should be treated with various care products.
For example, the oily area requires a grease-balancing product
and the dry area a nutritive, protective product. |
| |
Combination
skin generally requires more moisture than grease. Ensure,
therefore, that you use a moisturizing product |
| |
| |
:: Skin Protection :: |
If the area
around your cheeks tends to be dry, give it strong protection
with a product which preserves the skin's resistance, therefore
preventing it from becoming sensitive. |
| |
If dilated
veins show up on your skin, mask them with a bright concealer.
It allows the veins to disappear from sight and provides
additional protection. |
| |
| |
:: Things to Avoid :: |
Any blackheads
which may be present in the T-zone can be treated by regularly
applying a tonic face lotion. You should also pay particular
attention to cleansing this area of the skin in order to avoid
producing blackheads. |
If you require
a richer product because of dryness around your cheeks, don't
use the product on the oily T-zone, or if so, once or twice a
week at most. |
If your skin
tends towards dilated veins, avoid anything which has a
stimulating effect, e.g. cold and warm water applications,
peelings, steam baths, etc. |
